How do you work?
I work on a one-to-one basis and would usually recommend a minimum of 6 sessions to give time for a trusting therapeutic relationship to develop. I have a wide range of toys, games and creative materials to enable children to communicate in a way that best suits them. As with Person-Centred Counselling, Child-Centred Play Therapy is non-directive. This means I do not tell the child what to do, or try to probe or gain information from them unwillingly. Sessions are always led by the child and are always child-centred.
